베이비 붐 세대의 장기요양 준비 과정에 대한 근거이론접근의 질적연구

A Qualitative Study on the Process of Long-term Care Planning Among Korean Baby-boomers: Ground Theories Approach

본 연구는 베이비 붐 세대의 장기요양 준비에 관한 경험을 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위해베이비 붐 세대 30명을 대상으로 베이비 붐 세대의 장기요양 준비과정은 어떠한가? 라는 연구 문제를 가지고 심층면접을 하였으며, 자료 분석을 위해 근거이론적 접근방법을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과 중심현상은 장기요양에 대한 걱정과 부정적 인식 이었다. 이들은 노인이 되어 감을 인식하는단계, 걱정과 두려움의 단계, 장기요양을 위한 준비/행동 단계 심리적인 안정 단계를 거치면서 장기요양을 준비하게 된다. 이들의 유형은 노후준비형, 해결모색형, 국가의 도움이 필요한 형의 세 가지로 구분되었다. 마지막으로 유형에 따른 사회복지의 실척적 함의를 논의하였다.

This study is aimed at understanding the experiences of the baby-boomers preparation towards the long-term care. Data were collected from in-depth interviews asked conducted with thirty baby-boomers. Data were analyzed following the grounded theory approaches. The findings include the process of baby boomers long-term care planning experiences and the categorization of their experiences. The process includes: 1) the acceptance of ageing process, 2) worries and fears to of becoming old, 3) preparation and action towards long-term care,and 4) relief and emotional stability. The participants preparation experiences were categorized into three types: active preparers, solution seekers; external resource dependents.
