기후변화에 대한 인식과 태도 검사 도구 개발

Development of Assessment Tools of Perception and Attitude toward Climate Change

본 연구는 기후변화에 대한 인식 및 태도를 조사하기 위한 검사 도구를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이에 따라 선행 연구 분석을 통한 문항의 추출과 구성, 검사 질문의 개발, 전문가에 의한 내용 타당도 검증과 그에 따른 질문 수정, 예비 검사를 통한 최종 검사 도구 개발의 단계를 거쳤다. 기후변화에 대한 인식과 태도를 위한 검사 도구는 기후변화에 대한 관심과 책임, 기후변화에 대한 걱정 및 문제 해결에 대한 믿음, 기후변화의 영향과 원인, 기후변화와 관련된 정책, 기후변화에 대한 대응 행동 등의 37개 리커트 척도형 질문으로 구성하였다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 검사 도구는 체계적인 과정을 통해 개발되었고, 기후변화에 대한 다양한 영역에 대한 조사가 가능하며, 국제적인 연구와의 비교가 가능하다는 점에서 의의를 가진다. 본 검사 도구는 기후변화와 관련된 교육적 효과나 교육내용의 환류 등 다양하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to develop an assessment tool to diagnose the perception and attitude toward climate change. The research was conducted in the following stages: literature review, item development, content validity, item revision, preliminary survey, and final item composition. During the procedure, the researchers created a 37-item Likert-scaled instrument that included concerns and responsibility for climate change, anxiety and belief in solving climate change problem, cause and effect of climate change, climate change policies, and climate change action. This assessment tool is significant in the following respects: 1. It was developed through a systematic process, 2. It is possible to investigate various areas on climate change, and 3. It is possible to compare the results to those of other countries studies. The findings of the study could be applied to a variety of climate-related purposes.
