일본교육사 교재 분석 : 한국어 번역 교재를 중심으로

Analysis on History of Japanese Education Textbooks : Focusing on the Translated Textbooks into Korean

본 연구는 교육학을 전공하는 사람들에게 기본적인 과목인 교육사의 교재 구성과 관련하여 일본교육사 교재를 분석하는 작업이다. 특히 본 연구에서는 한국어로 번역된 4권의 일본교육사 교재를 주 대상으로 삼았다. 보편적 내용을 다루는 교육철학과 달리 교육사는 한국교육사, 일본교육사와 같이 국가별 특수성이 반영되고 있다. 일본교육사 교재 분석을 통해 얻어진 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교육사 서술에 실증주의적 전통이 강하다. 이는 에도시대로부터 이어지는 것으로 서구의 랑케사학의 영향과 초기 일본교육사 서술이 제도사 중심으로 이루어졌기 때문이다. 둘째, 교육사 목차 구성에 있어서 ‘치우친 시간성’을 들 수 있다. 고대사와 중세사가 매우 소략하고, 근세 이후 근대사 중심의 서술을 하고 있다. 셋째, 기존의 제도사 중심의 교육사 서술에서 교육사회사 중심의 변화를 엿볼 수 있다. 교육사학의 구조에서 본다면 생활중심의 일상사와 관련된 교육문화사적 경향이다. 이는 1980년대 중반 이후 아날학파의 영향이 교육사학 분야에도 영향을 미친 것으로 생각된다. 따라서 분석대상의 교재들은 바로 이러한 교육사 분야의 변화 현상을 잘 보여주는 것이라 생각된다.

This study intends to analyze the textbooks on the history of Japanese education in relation to the composition of textbooks in the history of education, which is a basic subject for students majoring in education. In particular, this study analyzed the four history of Japanese education textbooks translated into Korean. Unlike the educational philosophy, which deals with universal content, the history of education reflects country-specific characteristics, such as the history of Korean education and that of Japanese education. The results are as follows: Firstly, there is a strong positivist tradition in the history of education. This is because it has been continued from the Edo era, and influenced by Western Ranke history and early Japanese educational history which were composed by history of institutional education. Secondly, a biased temporality appears in the table of contents of educational history. Ancient history and medieval history are very brief, and the narrative focuses on modern history after the 17th century. Thirdly, there is a change from the existing history of institutional education to the history of educational culture. It is thought that the influence of the Anal School following the mid-1980s also affected the field of educational history. Therefore, it is thought that the textbooks analyzed are good examples of this change in the field of education history.
