유아의 강점리터러시에 대한 교육신경학적 함의

Educational Neurological Implications for Children’s Strengths Literacy

본 연구의 목적은 신경과학에서 밝혀진 뇌의 작용을 근거로 유아의 강점리터러시에 대한 교육신경학적 함의를 제시하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 유아의 강점리터러시를 신경과학으로 접근하여 해석하고, 교육신경학적 관점으로 제시하였다. 유아의 강점리터러시는 긍정적 경험에 의한 뇌의 기억이 신경연결망을 통해 내적 동기를 자극하여 즐거움을 유발하는 신경전달 물질의 분비를 촉진시켜 유아가 기쁨과 행복을 느끼게 하며 반복적인 패턴이 신경연결을 더욱 강화시킨다. 유아의 긍정적 정서는 외부의 긍정적인 피드백을 통해 더욱 자극을 받으므로 교육환경을 제공하는 교사는 뇌와 관련된 지식들을 잘 인지해야 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 유아교육에서 유아가 스스로 긍정적 정서를 찾아내어 행복을 지속시킬 수 있도록 자신의 강점리터러시를 증진하는 것이 중요하며 관련 교육의 필요성을 교육신경학으로 더욱 견고히 하는 계기를 마련하였다. 또한, 긍정심리학, 신경과학 그리고 인지과학의 이론들을 타당성과 효과성이 검증된 과학적 근거로 증명하고 해석하였으며 이를 유아교육에 접목하는 학제 간의 융합을 시도해 새로운 학문적 성장의 가능성을 제안했다는 데 의의가 있다.

This study aims to present educational neurological implications for children s strengths literacy based on the activity of the brain revealed by neuroscience. We examine children s strengths literacy from the perspective of positivity psychology, approach and interpret children s strengths literacy from the perspective of neuroscience and present an educational neurological perspective. Children s strengths literacy facilitates the secretion of neurotransmitter materials that stimulate internal motivation through the neural network, thereby allowing children to feel pleasure, joy, happiness, and repetitive patterns to further strengthen the neural connection. Children s positive emotions are further stimulated by positive external feedback, so teachers supporting an educational environment need to be aware of brain-related knowledge. This study shows that it is important to promote children s strengths literacy to facilitate them finding their own positive emotions and maintain happiness. This further strengthens the need for related early childhood education. Additionally, the theories of positive psychology, neuroscience, and cognitive science were also supported and interpreted based on estabilished scientific evidence of validity and effectiveness. It is also meaningful to propose the possibility of new academic growth through an attempt to integrate it into early childhood education.
