유아교사의 재미 지각과 직무 스트레스가 교육 헌신에 미치는 영향

The Effects of Perception of Fun and Job Stress among Early Childhood Teachers on their Commitment to Teaching

본 연구는 유아교사의 재미 지각과 직무 스트레스가 교육 헌신에 미치는 영향력에 대해 살펴보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 연구목적의 실현을 위하여 유아교사의 재미 지각, 직무 스트레스, 교육 헌신의 인식 정도, 상관관계, 그리고 영향력에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 K시와 G도에 소재한 유치원과 어린이집에 근무하는 유아교사 300명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 상관분석, 중다선형 회귀분석 등을 통하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 유아교사의 재미 지각은 보통 수준 이상, 직무 스트레스는 보통, 교육 헌신은 보통 이상으로 나타났다. 또한 재미 지각과 교육 헌신은 정적 상관을, 직무 스트레스와 교육 헌신은 부적 상관을 보였다. 끝으로 유아교사의 재미 지각과 직무 스트레스는 교육 헌신에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 유아교사가 교직 현장에서 보다 헌신적으로 업무에 종사하기 위하여 교사의 재미 지각을 향상하고 직무 스트레스를 낮출 수 있는 구체적인 변인을 확인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects that perception of fun and job stress among early childhood teachers have on their commitment to teaching. For this purpose, the study sought to investigate how early childhood teachers evaluate their own perception of fun, job stress, or commitment to teaching and to what extent the three variables are correlated with or influence one another. The participants in this research were 300 early childhood teachers who were teaching at preschools or nurseries located in K city and G province and surveyed them to collect data. Then, the collected data were statistically processed using correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows. The surveyed teachers evaluated the level of their perception of fun, job stress, and teacher commitment as, respectively, more than average, average, and more than average. Among the surveyed teachers, perception of fun and commitment to teaching were positively correlated, and job stress and commitment to teaching were negatively correlated. Finally, either perception of fun or job stress of the participants was found to influence their commitment to teaching. Taking these findings into consideration, this study is significant because it identified factors that could heighten perception of fun and lower job stress, ultimately contributing to an increased job commitment among early childhood teachers.
