영아교사 이미지에 대한 어린이집교사와 유치원교사의 인식 연구

A study on the image of infant teacher among daycare center teachers and kindergarten teachers

본 연구는 어린이집교사와 유치원교사가 인식하는 영아교사에 대한 이미지를 알아보고 바람직한 영아교사 이미지 구축을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구대상은 강원도지역 유아교육기관에 근무 중인 어린이집교사 182명, 유치원교사 213명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구도구는 영아교사 이미지에 대한 은유를 묻는 개방형 질문지를 사용하였고 수집된 자료는 은유분석 과정을 통해 분석되었다. 그 결과 영아교사 이미지는 인성적 특성 이미지, 전문적 특성 이미지, 직업적 특성 이미지로 범주화되었고, 어린이집교사와 유치원교사 모두 영아교사 이미지로 인성적 특성 이미지를 높게 인식하고 있었다. 각 범주별 영아교사 이미지에 대해 어린이집교사와 유치원교사 간 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the awareness of daycare center teachers and kindergarten teachers regarding the image of infant teachers. The subjects in this study comprised 395 teachers, out of whom 182 teachers worked in daycare centers and 213 teachers worked in kindergartens in Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea. The findings of the study were as follows. First, daycare center teachers were aware that the image of a infant teacher were mostly associated with a person instead of mother in terms of personality, a jack-of-all-trades in terms of professionalism, and a tough job in terms of occupational characteristics. Second, kindergarten teachers were aware that the image of infant teacher was mostly associated with a person gives love in terms of personality, a guide in terms of professionalism, and a worth job in terms of occupational characteristics. Third, there were statistically significant differences between daycare center teachers and kindergarten teachers regarding the image of infant teacher.
