표준보육과정에 기초한 「2세 영아보육프로그램」의 자연친화활동에 대한 동향분석과 보육교사의 인식조사

Child care teachers perceptions on nature-friendly activities of a Child Care Program for 2-year-olds

본 연구는 표준보육과정에 기초한 「2세 영아보육프로그램」에 나타난 자연친화활동의 동향을 분석하고 보육교사의 인식을 조사함으로써 영아를 위한 자연친화활동의 방향과 방법을 모색하는데 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 131개 자연친화활동을 분석하고 155명의 보육교사를 대상으로 인식을 조사하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 「2세 영아보육프로그램」 자연친화활동은 실외활동에 비해 실내활동이 대부분을 차지하였고, 생활주제 ‘동물놀이해요’와 ‘알록달록 가을이에요’에 편중되어 있었다. 보육과정 영역별로는 예술경험영역과 자연탐구영역에 전체의 50% 이상이 분포되어 있었다. 둘째, 대부분의 보육교사들이「2세 영아보육프로그램」에 대해 보통 이상으로 알고 있었으나, 자연친화활동에 대해서는 절반 이하의 교사들만이 대체로 알고 있거나 잘 알고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 자연친화활동의 주제와 활동내용의 적절성, 활동방법과 수준의 적절성에 대해서는 대체로 적절하거나 보통으로 인식하였고, 대부분 자연친화활동이 수업이나 활동에 도움이 되는 것으로 응답하였다.

This study analyzes nature activities in a child care program for 2-year and instructors’ perceptions of these activities. For analysis, 131 nature activities were selected and 155 child care teachers responded to a questionnaire relating to the activities. The results were as follows: First, there were more indoor activities than outdoor activities. The nature-friendly activities focused on ‘animal play’ and ‘colorful autumn’ and on two curriculum areas, ‘artistic experience and ‘natural interest . Second, while most child care teachers were aware of the Child Care Program, only half of the teachers recognized the nature activities. The teachers perceived that of theme, content, method and level of nature-friendly activities were appropriate. They ultimately concluded that nature activities were helpful to the child care planning and practice.
