본 연구의 목적은 유아교육기관 원장의 리더십 관련 국내 학술지 논문의 연구동향을 분석하고, 향후 리더십 연구의 방향과 과제를 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 최근 17년 간 한국연구재단 등재후보지 이상의 학술지에 게재된 논문 총 93편을 선정하여 연도별, 연구방법별, 연구내용별 동향을 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 원장의 리더십은 2011년 이후 연구가 급증하였다. 둘째, 교사가지각한 원장의 리더십과 교사와 관련된 다양한 변인과의 관계를 본 연구가 많았다. 연구방법 면에서는 양적 연구가 주를 이루었고, 리더십 유형과 교사나 조직의 제 변인들과의 상관분석 연구가 많았다. 셋째, 연구내용별 동향 분석과 관련하여 변혁적 리더십, 거래적 리더십, 전통적 리더십, 코칭리더십, 감성리더십, 서번트 리더십, 도덕적 리더십 등이 제시되었다. 교사관련 변인으로는 직무환경 요인, 교사전문성 요인, 교사의 정신건강 순으로 연구가 많이 이루어졌다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends in the domestic journals on the leadership of the kindergarten and child care center directors and suggest the task and the direction of the future research. For this purpose, a total number of 93 studies, published in the recent 13 years, in the journals beyond the level of the registered candidates of the National Research Foundation of Korea were selected and classified according to their years, research methods, and research contents. The major results are as follows: First, the studies show that the recent social interests in the studies on the leadership of the directors have flourished since 2011. Second, the studies dealing with the leadership of the directors as recognized by the teachers and the various factors working between the directors and teachers were more in number than the studies on self-recognition of the leadership by the directors. Third, it was observed that the method of quantitative questionnaires was most used method. Fourth, an increasing attention to studies on data analysis methods dealing with the types of leadership of the directors and the various factors working between the teachers and the organization was seen. Fifth, the various types of leadership considered for the purpose of study of analysis of trends-radical leadership, transactional leadership, traditional leadership, coaching leadership, emotional leadership, servant leadership, and moral leadership. Among these the most reviewed type was the radical leadership. The analysis of the job environment was mostly accomplished among the teacher variables related to the leadership, and then the teachers job expertise and mental health was studied. The results of this study suggest that the future research on leadership should focus on exploring the relationship among a variety of research variables and the leadership program development and devising practical alternatives.
