기독교세계관에 기초한 한국의 유아교육 현황과 쟁점에 관한 연구

The status and issues of early childhood education in Korea based on the Christian worldview

본 연구는 한국 유아교육의 출발과 역사의 변화 가운데 기독교 세계관에 기초한 실천과 연구 현황을 살펴보고, 이에 기초한 연구와 논의의 쟁점을 분석하고자 하였다. 따라서 문헌고찰을 중심으로 하여 기독교 세계관에 기초한 유아교육현황을 기독교 세계관에 기초한 한국 유아교육의 출발, 영·유아 발달의 이해, 유아교육기관 실천 현장을 중심으로 분석하였다. 그리고 기독교 세계관에 기초한 유아교육의 쟁점으로서 기독교 유아교육과정에 대한 논란, 기독교 세계관에 기초한 유아교육의 철학적 사유, 교사와 부모에 대한 논의, 기독교 세계관에 기초한 유아교육 실천의 한계와 어려움을 중심으로 분석되었다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국 유아교육의 역사와 현황 가운데 기독교 세계관에 기초한 유아교육의 실천의 방향을 제공하는 기초자료가 되리가 기대해본다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the beginning, history and current state of Korean early childhood education and the state of related research and to analyze controversial issues on that. Relevant literatures were reviewed to shed light on the beginning of Korean early childhood education based on the Christian view of the world, its understanding of infant and early childhood development and the state of this education in early childhood education institutions to offer an overview of the state of early childhood education based on the Christian worldview. As for controversial issues, disputes on curriculums for Christian early childhood education, the philosophical grounds of this education, discussions on teachers and parents, the limitations of the education and its difficulties were analyzed. This study is expected to suggest some right directions for providing early childhood education in Korea based on the Christian view of the world, taking into account the history and status of this education.
