백창우의 노랫말에서 찾은 생태적 요소 및 의미 탐색

Exploration of ecological elements and meanings discovered in the lyrics of Beak Chang-woo with『Bori Children’s Singing School』series

본 연구는 작곡가 백창우 어린이 노래의 노랫말에서 찾은 생태적 요소 및 의미를 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 보리 출판사에서 출간된 「보리 어린이 노래마을」 6권에 실려 있는 노래 106곡을 분석의 대상으로 삼았다. 연구 결과 백창우 어린이 노래의 노랫말에는 ‘아이의 마음’이 가장 많이 포함되어 있었고, ‘생명존중’이 가장 낮은 빈도를 나타내고 있었다. 이를 통해 백창우의 노랫말에는 아이들의 마음이 담겨 있고, 아이들의 삶이 담겨 있으며, 자연이 담겨 있고, 아이와 삶, 자연이 하나로 담겨 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이처럼 백창우 어린이 노래의 노랫말에서 찾은 생태적 요소 및 의미 탐색을 통해 아이들에게 많이 불리고 사랑받고 있는 노랫말에 담겨 있는 의미를 살펴볼 수 있었고, 이는 앞으로 아이들을 위한 노래를 선정함에도 많은 시사점을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

The goal of this research is to explore ecological meaning in the lyrics of Beak Chang-woo, a child composer. Therefore, the paper analyzed 106 lyrics contained in six volumes of Bori Children’s Singing School published by Bori Publishing. The result showed that the words “children’s heart” were most frequently used and “respect for life” were the least frequent. Therefore, it could be concluded that Beak Chang-woo’s lyrics contain nature, life, and children’s heart. In addition, his lyrics take nature, life, and children as a single integrated entity. As such, through analysis of ecological elements and their meanings in Beak Chang-woo’s lyrics, we can explore the meaning of widely sung lyrics that are beloved by many children. This will also provide helpful suggestions in selecting songs for children in the future.
