보육교사의 사회인구학적 변인과 직무만족도가 어린이집의 CCTV에 관한 인식에 미치는 영향

The effects of demographic variables and job satisfaction on awareness of CCTV among early childhood teachers

본 연구는 어린이집의 CCTV에 관한 보육교사의 인식을 살펴보고, 이들의 사회인구학적 변인과 직무만족도가 CCTV에 관한 인식에 미치는 영향을 밝히기 위해, 2개 광역시와 2개도에 소재한 어린이집 교사 303명의 응답을 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 보육교사는 어린이집 CCTV에 대해 ‘영유아권리 보장’영역에서 긍정적인 인식을 나타내었지만, ‘교사권리 보장’, ‘심리적 반응’, ‘기관 운영 개선에 대한 기대’영역들에서는 다소 부정적인 인식을 형성하고 있었다. 둘째, 보육교사의 CCTV에 대한 인식은 학력, 경력, 근무기관 유형, 담당 학급, 교실 내 CCTV 설치 기간에 따라 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 보육교사의 CCTV에 대한 인식과 직무만족도의 하위 영역 간에는 상관관계가 있었으며, 그 중 ‘근무여건과 보수에 대한 만족도’와의 상관이 더 높았다. 넷째, 보육교사의 학력, 경력, 근무기관 유형, 담당 학급, 교실 내 CCTV 설치 기간, 직무만족도가 CCTV에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향력이 확인되었는데, 특히 ‘근무여건과 보수에 대한 만족도’는 CCTV에 대한 인식에 가장 큰 영향을 주는 변인이었다. 본 연구 결과에 기초하여 영유아 및 교사의 권리보장과 보육교사의 근무 환경 개선을 위한 시사점을 논의하였다.

This study investigated demographic variables and job satisfaction as they related to awareness of CCTV among 303 teachers at childcare centers in two cities and two provinces. The findings of this study were as follows: First, early childhood teachers were aware of the CCTV “guarantee of children s rights,” but the “guarantee of early childhood teachers rights,” “psychological response,” and “expectations of center management improvement” had below average recognition. Second, there were significant differences in early childhood teachers awareness of CCTV depending on their educational background, work experience, type of institution, class, and CCTV classroom installation period. Third, there were significant correlations with the sub-factors of job satisfaction and awareness of CCTV among the teachers at childcare centers, and a relatively high correlation with “satisfaction in working condition and salary.” Fourth, early childhood teachers’ educational background, work experience, type of institution, class, CCTV classroom installation period, and job satisfaction were significantly correlated with awareness of CCTV. “Satisfaction with work conditions and salary” was found to correlate especially significantly with all four sub-factors of CCTV awareness. The results of this study can be used as basic data for development of a program to enhance work conditions and protect children s and early childhood teachers rights.
