국외 유 · 아동용 생태적 태도 척도의 비교와 2-MEV 척도의 국내적용 타당도 검증

Comparison of foreign ecological attitude scales for young children and verification of validity of the 2-MEV scale for domestic application

본 연구의 목적은 국내의 유아들을 대상으로 생태적 태도를 측정할 수 있는 척도를 개발하기 위한 기초연구로 삼으려는 것이다. 본 연구에서 분석한 유·아동용 생태적 태도 척도는CHEAKS, CATES-PV, NEP, 2-MEV이다. 본 연구에서는 Demaray와 Ruffalo(1995)의 연구를 토대로 각 도구의 내용 및 점수의 해석, 심리측정적 특성을 평가기준으로 삼아 위 척도들을 비교하였고, 생태적 태도의 관점과 생태적 태도의 구성요소에 대한 관점에 따라 구분지어 검토하였다. 특히 생명중심적인 세계관과 인간중심적인 세계관이 위 척도들에 어떻게 반영되었지를 비교하였다. 그 결과 Wiseman과 Bogner(2003)의 생태적 태도 이론에 기초하여 두 세계관의 특징이 4차원적 구도에서 측정되어지는 2-MEV가 가장 타당해 보였다. 이에 2-MEV를 국내용으로 번안한 도구를 만든 다음 생태적 태도의 하위요인을 보전과 활용으로 구분지어 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 보전에는 지원 의도, 자원 보호, 자연의 즐거움이, 활용에는 자연을 변화, 지배로 요인이 추출되었고, 각 문항들은 적절한 신뢰도와 타당도를 나타냈다.

This is a preliminary study for developing an ecological attitude scale for domestic young Korean children. The ecological attitude scales examined in this study are CHEAKS, CATES-PV, NEP, and 2-MEV. This study compared the four scales on the basis of the work of Demaray and Ruffalo(1995), by interpretation of each scale s contents and scores and by psychometric properties. Emphasis on ecological attitudes and emphasis on components of ecological attitudes were separated and reviewed. Especially, how the four scales reflected biocentric worldview and anthropocentric worldview was reviewed. As a result, the 2-MEV scale appeared the most valid for it measured the characteristics of a biocentric worldview and an anthropocentric worldview in a four-dimensional structure based on the theory of ecological attitude by Wiseman and Bogner(2003). Thus, the 2-MEV scale was translated as a tool for domestic use, and a factor analysis was executed after the subdomains of ecological attitude were separated into preservation and utilization. The result extracted intent of support, care with resources, and enjoyment of nature as factors of preservation, and altering nature and dominance as factors of utilization. Each item showed appropriate reliability and validity.
