예비보육교사의 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독 경향성과 정신건강 간의 관계

Relationship between internet, smartphone addiction tendencies and mental health of pre-childcare teachers

본 연구는 예비보육교사의 연령 및 학력에 따른 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독 경향성의 차이를 살펴본 후 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독 경향성이 정신건강에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이에 부산, 경남에 소재한 보육교사교육원에 재학 중인 예비보육교사 235명을 대상으로 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독, 정신건강 검사를 실시하고, 일원변량분석 및 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 예비보육교사의 연령 및 학력에 따른 인터넷 중독 경향성은 차이를 보이지 않았으나, 스마트폰 중독 경향성에서는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 또한 예비보육교사의 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독 경향성과 정신건강 간에는 통계적으로 유의미한 관련성을 가지는 것으로 나타났으며, 스마트폰 중독 경향성이 인터넷 중독 경향성보다 정신건강을 좀 더 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 예비보육교사의 인터넷 및 스마트폰 중독 경향성을 완화시키는 방안을 모색하고 정신건강을 도모할 수 있도록 생태적 교육시스템을 마련하여 도와주어야 함을 시사한다.

This study examines the difference between smartphone addiction and Internet addiction tendencies according to age and educational background of pre-childcare teachers, and examines their relationship with the mental health of preliminary childcare teachers. The results of the analysis of Internet addiction tendency according to age and education of pre-childcare teachers did not show a significant difference, though there was a significant difference in smartphone addiction tendency. In addition, regarding Internet addiction and smartphone addiction tendencies, and their association with mental health trends of pre-childcare teachers, the findings showed that mental health had a statistically more significant association with smartphone addiction tendency than Internet addiction tendency.
