가정의 사회경제적 배경과 가정환경자극 및 유아의 상호작용적 또래놀이 간의 구조분석

Structural equation modeling analysis of the relationships of socio-economic status of family, stimulated home environment, and interactive peer play of preschool children

본 연구는 유아의 상호작용적 또래놀이 행동과 가정의 사회경제적 배경, 가정환경자극 간에 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지 알아보고, 가정의 사회경제적 배경과 유아의 상호작용적 또래놀이 간에 가정환경자극이 매개 변인이 되는지에 관하여 가설적 모형을 설정하여 이들 변인들의 인과적 구조관계를 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 총 255명의 유아를 대상으로 한 설문조사 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 가정의 사회경제적 배경과 가정환경자극은 유아의 상호작용적 또래놀이와 정적인 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 본 연구에서 제시된 인과적 구조모형의 경로를 확인한 결과 가정의 사회경제적 배경이 상호작용적 또래놀이에 미치는 직접영향뿐만 아니라 가정환경자극이 매개하였을 때의 간접영향도 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이는 가정의 사회경제적 배경의 영향에도 불구하고 가정환경자극의 매개효과를 통해서도 유아의 상호작용적 또래놀이 행동에 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 그러므로 본 연구의 결과는 놀이 방해 및 놀이 단절 등 부정적인 또래놀이 행동을 나타내는 유아들의 경우에 놀이 상호작용 행동을 길러주기 위해서 가정에서의 질적 가정환경자극 개선을 위한 노력이 필요하다는 점을 시사한다.

This study investigated the relationship among preschool children’s interactive peer play, socio-economic status, and a stimulated home environment. A total of 255 children were selected to participate in the study. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlations and covariance structural analysis with SPSS and AMOS, a statistical program for structural equation modeling. The major findings were as follows. First, interactive peer play was associated with a socio-economic status and stimulated home environment. The results also confirmed that the pathway from socio-economic status to stimulated home environment and then interactive peer play showed a significant model fit. Finally, the paths from socio-economic status to children’s interactive peer play were mediated by a stimulated home environment.
