유아를 위한 박물관연계 지역문화교육프로그램 개발과 적용

The Development and Application of a Local Culture-Based Educational Program Connected with Museum

본 연구의 목적은 박물관 연계 지역문화교육프로그램을 개발한 후 만 5세 유아에게 적용해봄으로써 개발한 프로그램의 적용타당성을 검증하고자 하였다. 유아를 위한 박물관연계 지역문화교육프로그램은 유아 지역문화교육과 유아의 박물관 연계 교육에 대한 선행연구, 유치원 교육과정, 표준보육과정, 지역문화교육 요구도 조사를 토대로 개발되었다. 그리고 개발된 프로그램의 타당성을 평가하기 위해 만 5세 유아 대상으로 적용하고 지역문화교육의 최종 목표인 지역문화에 대한 이해, 사랑, 창조를 확인하기 위해서 유아의 지역문화 인지능력, 지역문화 친화적 태도 및 확산적 사고력에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 본 연구는 박물관 연계 지역문화교육프로그램 개발, 검사자 훈련 및 교사 교육, 사전검사, 실험처치, 사후검사의 순으로 진행되었다. 본 연구 결과는 박물관 연계 지역문화교육이 유아의 지역문화 인지능력, 친화적 태도, 확산적 사고 향상에 도움이 된다는 것을 확인시켜주었다. 특히 지역문화 친화적 태도에서는 관심, 친근감 증진에, 확산적 사고력 중 유창성과 독창성 증진시키는데 도움이 됨을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 여러 제한점이 있으나 개발된 프로그램의 적용 타당성을 확인할 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study was to develop an educational program based on local culture working closely with a local museum, and apply the program to 5-year-old children in order to find out how their cultural cognitive ability, culture-friendly attitude and divergent thinking were affected. The participants in this study were 51 children, all aged 5 years, who attend a children s day care center in Kyung San. The subject group consisted of 26 children while the control group totalled 25 children. For this study, teacher education, preliminary, experiment and post tests were all carried out. No difference was found between the subject group and the control group at the preliminary test stage but proof of the program s effectiveness was found after the experiment in the form of positive results from certain children. It was evident that the children’s cognitive ability with regard to community culture, culture-friendly attitude and divergent thinking were advanced effectively after participating in the local culture-based educational program connected with museum. The results of this study have proved meaningful the effects of applying this type of educational program and of using a museum not only as a place for field trips but also for resources about local culture-based education.
