Study of the Lifestyle and Health Status: Focusing on Pre-service Childcare Teachers

본 연구는 예비보육교사들의 생활양식과 건강상태에 대한 인식을 알아봄으로써 예비보육교사들이 생활양식에 대한 중요성을 인식하고 바른 생활양식의 실천으로 건강한 생활을 영위하게 도울 뿐만 아니라 장차 예비보육교사 교과과정에서 다루어질 수 있는 건강증진프로그램 개발의 기초자료를 제공할 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 보육교사교육원학생 273명을 대상으로 생활양식과 건강상태에 대한 설문조사에 의해 이루어졌다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 예비보육교사의 생활양식과 건강상태에 대한 인식은 보통보다 약간 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 예비보육교사의 일반적 배경에 따른 생활양식 및 건강상태에는 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 먼저, 예비보육교사의 연령에 따른 생활양식 및 건강상태에는 의(衣)생활, 주(住)생활, 신체건강상태에 있어 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 예비보육교사의 학력에 따른 생활양식 및 건강상태에는 신체건강상태에 있어 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 예비보육교사의 결혼상태에 따른 생활양식 및 건강상태에는 의(衣)생활, 주(住)생활, 신체건강상태, 정신건강상태에 있어 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 예비보육교사의 교육기간동안에 교사건강교육이 이루어져야 하며, 이는 자연주의적이고 생태적인 접근으로서의 생활양식으로의 인식전환이 요구됨을 제안하였다.

This study was carried out to examine the lifestyle and health status of pre-service childcare teachers and the relationship between their general characteristics and the lifestyle and health status in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of lifestyle, improve the lifestyle of them, and help developing a health program for pre-service childcare teachers. A Questionnaire was provided to 273 students at an institute for childcare teachers. The results indicate that the awareness of lifestyle and health status of pre-service childcare teachers was above average. Also, as to the relationships between general characteristics and the lifestyle and health status of pre-service childcare teachers, significant differences were shown. According to age variable, significant differences were shown in clothing, housing-related lifestyle and physical health status. According to level of education variable, significant differences were shown in physical health status. According to marital status variable, significant differences were shown in clothing, housing-related lifestyle and physical as well as mental health status.
