유아교사를 통해 본 유아미술교육 관련 현직교육의 필요성 및 요구

In-service Training Needs and Demands in Early Childhood Art Education, as Revealed by Early Education Teachers

본 연구는 유아미술교육의 질적 향상이 크게 인식, 요구되는 현실에서 유아교사들의 유아미술교육에 관련된 현직교육의 필요성 및 요구를 질적으로 탐구해 봄으로써 유아미술교육의 질적 향상을 도모할 수 있는 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 강원도 K시 병설유치원에서 2008년 9월부터 2008년 12월까지 만 5세 학급의 담임교사 6명을 심층 면담하였다. 본 연구결과 유아교사들은 유아미술교육과 관련된 현직교육의 필요성으로 미술에 대한 이론 및 기술 습득을 통한 전문성 도모, 물리적 환경구성 및 미술활동 운영의 질적 도모, 직전교육 및 교사의 역할 수행에 대한 지원 등으로 나타났다. 유아미술교육과 관련된 현직교육의 요구로서 실질적이고 구체적인 미술교육내용, 계획적이고 주기적인 실시, 현직교육 방법과 형태의 적절성 등으로 나타났다.

Recognizing and demanding quality improvement in early childhood art education is an importantissue, The purpose of this study was to examine kindergarten teachers needs and demands of in-service training in early childhood art education qualitatively, and to pursue a desirable direction for quality improvement in early childhood art education. For this study, in-depth interviews were conducted with six class teachers of five-year-olds at an elementary school annexed kindergarten located in K city of Kangwon Provinc. The interviews were conducted from September 2008 to December 2008. The result of this study revealed that kindergarten teachers needed in-service training related to early childhood art education, such as promotion of professionalism to acquire theories and skills about art, quality enhancement of physical environments and art activities, support for pre-service education and teachers roles, and so on. It was also reported that kindergarten teachers demanded in-service training related to early childhood art education such as real and concrete educational art contents, Planning implementation, and periodic in-service training.
