자연물을 소재로 한 유아들의 조형미술활동 과정 탐색

An Exploration of Process of Children s Formative Art Activities using a Natural Object

본 연구는 유치원에서 실행하고 있는 자연물을 소재로 한 조형미술활동에서 유아들의 표현 동기 변화와 표현 변화 과정을 탐색하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 자연물을 소재로 한 특별 조형미술활동을 실행하고 있는 Y유치원 만 5세 학급 유아 10명과 담당 미술교사 1명을 대상으로 2008년 9월 1일부터 2008년 12월 22일까지 총 16회기를 참여관찰과 교사면담으로 이루어졌다. 본 연구에서 유아들의 표현 동기 변화 과정은 새로운 재료에 대한 자발적 호기심 갖기, 오감을 통한 자연물 탐색하기, 다양하고 창의적인 발상하기, 자연과의 관계성 알기 등으로 나타났다. 또한 표현 변화 과정은 자연물 관찰하기, 자연물에 대한 특징 발견하기, 창의적으로 재구성하기, 다양한 형상 만들어내기, 자연과 동화되기 등으로 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to explore children s change in expressive motivation and process of change in expression from the formative art activities using a natural object practiced in kindergarten. To achieve this purpose, we had conducted 16 sessions on participant open-ended observation with 10 children aged 5 and follow-up interviews of their art teacher in Y kindergarten practiced the extracurricular formative art activities using a natural object from September 1, 2008 to December 22, 2008. The result of this study indicated that children s change in expressive motivation was appeared by spontaneous curiosity about new materials, a natural object exploration through five senses, various and creative conception, and knowing about the relationship with nature. Also, a process of change in expression was appeared by observation of a natural object, discovery of features from a natural object, creative reconstruction, making various figures, assimilation of nature, and so on.
