그림동화를 활용한 문학활동 프로그램이 유아의 공격성 행동과 친사회적 행동에 미치는 효과

An Effect of Picture Books on Aggressive Behavior and Pro-social Behavior in Children

본 연구는 그림동화를 활용한 문학활동 프로그램이 유아의 공격성 행동의 감소와 친사회적 행동의 증진에 미치는 효과를 실증적으로 검증하기 위한 목적으로 수행하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 전주시에 위치한 어린이집에 다니는 만 5세 유아 중 남, 녀 각각 20명씩 전체 40명을 대상으로 전후검사 통제집단 설계에 따라 실험연구를 수행하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 그림동화 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 유아들은 참여하지 않은 통제집단 유아들에 비해 공격성 행동이 감소되었다. 둘째, 그림동화 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 유아들은 참여하지 않은 통제집단 유아들에 비해 친사회적 행동이 증진되었다.

The study was intended to practically verify the effects of picture books on reducing aggressive behavior and promoting pro-social behavior in children. The subjects in the study were 40 children(20 female and 20 male) attending ‘D’ nursery located in Jeonju, South Korea. To control for institutional parameters resulting from educational methods, the subjects were devided into two groups: one group was taught using picture books. Each group contained 20 children(10 male and 10 female). The Scale of Measuring Infant’s Behavior was used to measure the aggressive behavior of these children while the Pro-Social Behavior Test was used to measure the pro-social behavior of the participants. It was found that the aggressive behavior of the children in the picture book group was significantly reduced compared with that of the control group. It was also found that the pro-social behavior of the picture book group was promoted compared to that of the control group. In conclusion, the study results show that the aggressive and pro-social behaviors of children depends on the institution they attend. Thus, it is expected that more practical and detailed guides be prepared to reduce aggressive behavior and promote pro-social activity. This necessarily involves studying sociopsychological parameters such as recognition the attitude of parents and teachers and interactions with children as environmental parameters.
