Q 방법론을 활용한 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 양육 어려움에 대한 인식연구

The Perception of Difficulties in Raising Mothers with Infant and Childhood Children using Q Methodology

본 연구는 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 양육 어려움에 대한 주관적 인식이 어떠한지 유형화 하고 각 유형의 특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 따라서 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 양육 어려움에 대한 인식 유형을 살펴보기 위해 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니들의 인식과 관련한 문헌고찰, 선행연구, 전국 맘 카페, 어린이집 면담일지 및 인터뷰 내용과 설문지 등을 통하여 Q표본으로 최종 34개의 진술문을 선정하였다. 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니 P 표본 35명에게 Q 소팅을 실시하였으며, QUANL-PC 프로그램을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 영유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니들이 인식하는 양육 어려움은 다음 4개의 유형으로 분류되었다. 1유형은 ‘심리적 갈등형’으로 심리적으로 어떻게 양육을 해야 할지 갈등하는 특성을 가지고 있었으며, 2유형은 ‘모범적 훈육형’으로 올바르게 자녀를 양육하고 싶어 하는 바른 어머니로 자녀를 잘 훈육하고자 하는데서 양육의 어려움을 겪었다. 3유형은 ‘독립적 책임형’으로 양육에 대한 책임과 의무를 강조하고 아이를 독립적으로 키우려고 하는 것에서 힘들어 했으며, 4유형은 ‘불안적 후회형’으로 자녀에게 미안한 마음으로 양육에 대한 고민을 가지고 있었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Q방법론을 활용하여 영유아를 양육하는 어머니들의 관점에서 양육의 어려움을 경험하는 주관성의 구조에 따라 4개의 유형을 발견하고 각 유형에 대한 이해와 설명을 할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 영유아기 어머니가 겪는 양육 어려움을 파악하였으며, 이를 토대로 영유아기 부모를 위한 정책적 지원이나 교육 등을 마련하는 데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study aims to identify and classify the types of parenting difficulties by mothers of infants and toddlers and use them as basic data to provide policy support and education for parents of infants and toddlers. The Q method was used to classify and examine the types of perceptions of mothers with infants and toddlers about parenting difficulties. For the Q sample, the final 34 statements were selected through literature reviews, previous studies, national mom cafes, daycare center interview diaries, interview contents, and questionnaires related to the perception of mothers with infants and toddlers. Therefore, in this study, 35 parent P samples with infants and toddlers and 34 statements were sampled and Q-sorting was conducted, and the data were analyzed through the QUANL-PC program. As a result of the study, there were four types of perception of mothers with infants and toddlers: psychological conflict type, exemplary parenting type, independent responsibility type, and anxiety regret type. From the perspective of mothers raising infants, Q methodology was used to discover types formed according to the subjectivity structure that experiences difficulties in parenting and to understand and explain each type.
