유아교사의 자아탄력성과 교사-유아 상호작용과의 관계에서 사회적 자본의 매개효과

The mediating effects of teachers social capital in the relation between ego-resiliency and teacher-child interactions

본 연구는 교사의 자아탄력성과 교사-유아 상호작용 간의 관계에서 유아교사의 사회적 자본이 매개적 역할을 하는지를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 C시 소재의 어린이집에 재직 중인 교사 총 257명을대상으로 자아탄력성 척도, 사회적 자본 척도, 교사-유아 상호작용 척도를 사용하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료분석을 위해 SPSS 23.0을 활용하여 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 매개효과의 유의성을 확인하기 위해 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 유아교사의 자아탄력성, 사회적 자본 및 교사-유아상호작용 전체 및 하위 요인 간 정적 상관 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 유아교사의 자아탄력성과사회적 자본이 높을수록 교사-유아 상호작용이 높게 나타남을 의미한다. 둘째, 사회적 자본은 교사의 자아탄력성과 교사-유아 상호작용 간 관계에서 부분 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 교사-유아상호작용의 질을 높이기 위해 교사의 자아탄력성에 관심을 기울여야 하며 이와 함께 유아 교사의 사회적자본 증진을 위한 방안 모색이 필요함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the potential mediating effects of teachers’ social capital in the relation between ego-resiliency and teacher-child interactions. Data were collected from 257 teachers from childcare centers in G city through a survey conducted using an ‘ego-resiliency scale’, a ‘social capital scale’, and a ‘teacher-child interaction scale’. Collected data were analyzed through correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis and the Sobel test was conducted to determine the mediating effect in the study. The results found that there was a significant positive correlation between teachers’ ego-resiliency, social capital, and teacher-child interactions. Moreover, teachers’ social capital had a marked partial mediating effect on teachers’ ego-resiliency and teacher-child interactions. These results provide basic data on teachers’ ego-resiliency and implicates the importance of teachers’ ego-resiliency that improves the quality of teacher-child interaction and early childhood teachers’ social capital.
