국내 성인입양의 친생가족 재회 경험에 관한 내러티브 탐구

Narrative Inquiry into Experiences of Two Domestic Adult Adoptees Who Reunited with birth families

본 연구는 친생가족과의 재회를 경험한 국내 성인입양인의 이야기를 내러티브 탐구(Narrative inquiry)방법을 이용하여 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 연구자들은 두 명의 국내 성인입양인과 만나 그들이 친생가족 재회 경험과 관련하여 어떤 이야기를 살아냈는지 탐색했다. 본 연구에서 탐색한 국내 성인입양인의 재회 경험의 의미는 다음과 같이 다섯 가지로 구성 되었다: ‘잃어버린 조각을 되찾음’, ‘수동적 상황에서 능동성 발휘하기’, ‘관계적 경험’, ‘상실의 직면’, ‘더 선명해진 나’. 본 연구의 연구 참여자들의 경험 이야기가 우리 사회의 구성원, 특히 입양삼자와 입양 실무자에게 공명을 일으켜 자신과 타인과의 관계성을 다시 돌이켜 생각해보는 계기가 될 것을 기대한다.

This study attempted to understand how two domestic adult adoptees who experienced reunion with their birth families compose their stories to live by using narrative inquiry method. As a result of the study, five meanings were constructed: ‘Recovering the missing pieces’, ‘Assertiveness in the passive circumstances’, ‘Relational experience’, ‘Confronting the loss’, ‘Getting clearer self’. This study expects impressive resonance in our society members, especially among adoption triad members and adoption practictioners, thus lead them to think about the ties among self and others.
