The Procedure Types and Effects of Oriental Massage Hand Therapy in Oriental Therapy Textbooks

연구 목적: 이 연구는 이료교과서에 나타난 안마 수기의 시술 유형과 효과를 알아아보려는 목적에서 수행되었다. 연구 방법: 2018년에 출간된 이료교과서 10종 중에서 안마 시술과 관련성을 지닌 3종 이료교과서를 대상으로 질적 내용 분석을 실시하여 안마 수기의 시술 유형과 효과를 범주화하고 주제별로 그 의미를 해석하고 논의하였다. 연구 결과: 이료교과서의 안마 수기의 시술 유형과 효과에 대하여 9가지 안마 수기에 따른 시술 방법, 방식, 방향, 사용 부위, 속도, 강도로 나누어 각 수기별 종류와 형태를 유목화하였고, 안마 수기의 시술 조작에 따라 시술 효과를 제시하였다. 안마는 손을 사용하여 인체에 나타난 질병을 예방하고 신체 변조를 조절하며 피로 회복과 건강 증진에 기여할 수 있는 수기로서 우리나라 대표 종합수기이다. 결론: 안마 시술에 대한 주관적 검증과 함께 객관적 검증 기회를 확대하여 보다 실증적인 안마 시술 효과에 대한 연구 성과를 집대성하는 노력이 필요하다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the procedure types and effects of Oriental massage hand therapy in Oriental therapy textbooks. Method: Of the ten different Oriental therapy textbooks published in 2018, three were selected for their relations to Oriental massage procedures and analyzed for qualitative content to categorize the procedure types and effects of Oriental massage hand therapy and interpret and discuss their meanings by the topic. Results: Trying to figure out the procedure types and effects of Oriental massage hand therapy in the Oriental therapy textbooks, the study divided them in the procedural method, style, direction, kind, speed, and intensity according to nine Oriental massage hand therapies, classified the kinds and forms of each hand therapy, and reported the effects of a procedure according to the procedural manipulation of Oriental massage hand therapy. The Oriental massage is a hand therapy to prevent diseases in the human body, regulate body changes, and contribute to recovery from fatigue and health with hands, representing the total hand therapy of Korea. Conclusion: There is a need for efforts to expand opportunities for the objective verification of Oriental massage procedures along with subjective verification and put together more empirical results of researches on the effects of Oriental massage procedures.
