중년기 기혼 남녀의 체면민감성과 주관적 행복의 관계에서 가족의사소통의 매개효과

Mediating Effect of Family Communication on Chemyon (Face) Sensitivity and Subjective Happiness of Middle-Aged Married Men and Women

본 연구는 중년기 기혼 남녀의 체면민감성과 가족의사소통이 주관적 행복에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 가족의사소통의 매개효과를 분석하여 중년기 기혼남녀의 행복한 삶을 영위하도록 돕는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 전라북도에 거주하는 중년 남녀 359명을 대상으로 질문지법을 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 연구대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 주관적 행복의 차이를 검증한 결과 교육정도와 종교에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 둘째, 각 변인은 유의한 상관관계를 나타내었다. 셋째, 체면민감성과 가족의사소통이 주관적 행복에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위해 중다회귀분석을 실시한 결과 부모자녀간 개방형 의사소통, 사회격식성 체면, 부부의사소통, 타인의식성 체면이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 가족의사소통의 매개효과를 분석한 결과, 타인의식성이 주관적 행복에 영향을 미치는데 있어 부부 및 부모자녀의 문제형 의사소통이 부분매개효과를, 사회격식성이 주관적 행복에 영향을 미치는데 있어 부모자녀의 개방형 의사소통이 부분매개효과를 나타내었다. 본 연구는 중년기 대상의 가족상담 현장에서 긍정적 체면과 건강한 가족의사소통을 위한 개입에 필요한 기초자료로써 가치가 있다.

Objectives: This study examines the mediating effect of family communication on the relationship of Chemyon (face) sensitivity and the subjective happiness of middle-aged Korean married men and women. Methods: The participants were 359 married men and women, and the data were collected by self-administered questionnaire in Jeollabuk-Do (North Jeolla Province). Results: Correlation analysis showed that the subjective happiness was positively related to social formality dimension but negatively to the consciousness of others dimension of Chemyon sensitivity. Open marital and parental-child communication were positively associated with subjective happiness. The analysis results of the mediating effect of family communication indicated that marital communication had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between the consciousness of others dimension of Chemyon sensitivity and subjective happiness. Parent-child communication had a partial mediating effect in the relationship between the social formality dimension of Chemyon sensitivity and subjective happiness. Conclusions: The study discusses some implications for family education and therapy to enhance subjective happiness of middle-aged married people focusing on the role of each dimension of Chemyon sensitivity and family communication.
