ePortfolio to Support the Professional Competence Development of Student Teachers

본 연구는 포트폴리오의 주요 기능을 설명하고 그 중 캐나다 퀘벡의 몬트리올대학교에서 개발한 에듀포트폴리오3.0(EduPortfolio3.0)를 예로 들어 예비교사들의 역량강화를 위한 전자포트폴리오의 잠재성을 살펴보는 데에 목적이 있다. 먼저 포트폴리오의 주된 기능인 소개기능, 성찰 기능, 사회적 기능, 평가 기능을 살펴본 다음 포트폴리오의 장점에 관하여 살펴본다. 웹 2.0에 기반을 둔 전문성 향상을 위한 포트폴리오는 교사 개인의 공간에 수집된 개인자료를 통한 교사의 전문성 향상에 기여하는 동시에, 교육 현장의 다른 교육 행위자(동 료 교원, 학습자...)들과의 상호작용을 활성화하는 중요한 도구로 작용한다. 이 연구는 포트폴리오의 발전 방향을 제시하며 예비교사의 전문역량강화를 지지하기 위한 밑거름이 될 수 있을 것이다.

This study aims to explain the main features being used in electronic portfolios (ePortfolios) for supporting and improving future teachers professional competence development during teacher education courses. First, the main functions of ePortfolio were argued: the presentation function, the reflective function, the social function and the evaluative function. Then, we argued the benefits of ePortfolio in comparison with the classic paper version of portfolios. To improve professional competences of the student teachers, the concept of portfolio in the era of Web 2.0 separates group and network , the later being emphasized. In particular, the use of an ePortfolio focusing on the network learning is an important factor for improving of individual professional competences and interactions between educational actors (teachers, staff, peers) in the educational context. Two examples of educational uses for supporting professional development of student teachers we showed offer a concrete vision of EduPortfolio.
