특수학급 교사와 학생의 미디어교육 및 미디어활용에 대한 인식조사 서울시 고등학교를 중심으로

An Investigation on the Perceptions of Media-Utilization and -training in High-School Teachers and Students of Special Education-Classes

The advent of diversified forms of media demands much change in the field of education. Youths susceptible to media establish and create innovative cultures, using media. Especially, in cases of adolescents with some disabilities, education promoting understanding and utilization of media is directly connected to their daily lives, resulting in immense effects. Currently, media education is partially implemented in classes and incorporated in its pan-curricula. This study attempts to investigate how teachers recognize the media-education in disable students and what the media environments are like for its usages in their special classes. Through surveys, it is concluded that, despite teachers awareness of its importance and necessity, many of them have shown some difficulty practicing it in their classes and discovered the impending needs. Therefore, it is suggested that the support for the teachers means the very start for the successful media education and that hereafter both the development of media-education-curricula and studies on its various forms are to concur.
