The relations between the job-satisfaction related to burnout and social supports in the workplace among childcare teachers were examined. A self-administered survey was conducted among 312 childcare teachers working at childcare centers. The data were analyzed by hierarchical regression analysis. Results predicted that the lower satisfaction the teachers experienced with colleague relations, and of job properties, the wage and social supports in the workplace, the higher emotional exhaustion they pleaded about. The lower satisfaction they had of job properties and social recognition, the higher dehumanization of them in the centers. Their job satisfaction and perceived-social supports in the workplace had no effects on their insufficient senses of personal achievements. Based on these findings, an improvement scheme to assist them in preventing and reducing their burnouts is suggested.
