The effects of how matured the faith of Catholic mothers, how well they have been educated religiously, and how satisfied they are with their parental roles on the development of morality in their children were investigated. The participants were 206 preschoolers attending catholic kindergartens. The mothers completed the questionnaires of faith-maturity and parental- role-satisfaction. Children’s development of morality was assessed by both mothers and teachers. The results revealed that the children s morality was best predicted by their mothers religious educational levels and their display of sacred behaviors, such as talking about God and going to church on Sunday with their children. The mothers’ maturity in faith was positively correlated with their religious education and parental-role-satisfaction. Furthermore, children’s morality was positively related to their mothers’ religious education and parental-role-satisfaction. Finally, the morality was significantly predicted by religious education and parental role satisfaction.
