The main purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of public type child care center teachers professional perception on the relationship between job satisfaction and teacher-child interaction. A total of 217 teachers answered questionnaires on three research variables such as teachers’ professional perception, teachers’ job satisfaction, and teacher-child interaction. To analyze the data, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analyses and Baron & Kenny s three step multiple regression analyses were conducted using SPSS 22. First, there was a difference in teacher-child interaction according to teachers age and their teaching experience. Second, teachers professional perception, job satisfaction, and teacher-child interaction showed positive correlations, respectively. Third, this study found perfect mediating effects of teachers professional perception on the relationship between job satisfaction and teacher-child interaction. This study confirmed that public type child care center teachers professional perception and their job satisfaction had an influence on their interaction with young children. The results of this study address the need of various interventions for teachers to increase their professional perception and job satisfaction.
