국내 무형식학습 연구의 의미구조와 상호관계성 고찰

A Semantic Network Analysis of Informal Learning Studies in Korea

본 연구의 목적은 국내 무형식학습의 연구에서 저자의 깊은 사유와 메시지가 담긴 결론에 대한 의미연결망 분석을 통해 무형식학습의 주요개념과 상호관계성을 고찰하는 것이다. 이러한 연구목적에 도달하기 위하여, 먼저 무형식학습과 연계된 주요개념을 네트워크 구조로 파악하였고, 다음으로 단어들의 군집을 통해 하위구조의 의미를 분석하였다. 이를 위해, 2004년부터 2021년까지 KCI등재 및 등재후보 학술지 41종에 게재된 국내 무형식학습 논문 104편의 결론을 대상으로 텍스트 마이닝을 통해 개별단어를 정제하고, 최종 67개의 단어를 선정하여 중심성 분석, 콘커 분석과 하위 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. 중심성 분석결과, ‘네트워크’, ‘성찰’, ‘경험’, ‘경력’, ‘조직문화’, ‘혁신행동’, ‘조직지원’, ‘경력태도’, ‘형식학습’ 등의 순으로 빈도가 높게 나타났다. UCINET6를 활용한 콘커 분석에서는 8개의군집을 도출하였고, 하위 네트워크 분석을 통해 ‘네트워크’, ‘성찰’, ‘임파워먼트’, ‘조직사회화’, ‘경험’, ‘조직지원’, ‘경력’, ‘심리적안정감’을 중심으로 연결강도에 따른 의미를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 비정형데이터인 텍스트를 계량적으로 분석하고, 결과를 시각화하는 의미연결망 분석을 사용하여 무형식학습 연구의 결론에 제시된 결과와 저자들의 메시지를 통합하여 고찰하였다는 데 의의가 있다. 연구 결과를 토대로 논의 및 시사점, 후속연구를 위한 제안을 하였다.

This research aims to examine the main concepts of informal learning and their relationship through a semantic network analysis of concluding texts in the published research on informal learning, which contain the in-depth interpretation and messages by the researchers. For the present study, the main concepts related to informal learning were formulated into a network structure, and the word clusters were examined for the significance of substructure. Individual words were extracted using text mining from the conclusion parts in 104 articles about informal learning, published between 2004 and 2021 in journals that are listed or waiting to be listed on KCI. A total of 67 words were selected eventually for centrality analysis, CONCOR analysis, and sub-network analysis. The centrality analysis showed the following words frequently appeared, in the order of frequency: “network,” “contemplate,” “experience,” “career,” “organizational culture,” “innovative behavior,” “organizational support,” “career attitude,” and “formal learning.” The CONCOR analysis using UCINET6 drew eight clusters and using sub-network analysis, examined the meanings based on the node strength relative to the words “network,” “contemplate,” “empowerment,” “organizational socialization,” “experience,” “organizational support,” “career,” and “psychological comfort.” The present research is significant in its quantitative analysis of texts as unstructured data, the use of semantic network analysis to visualize the result, and its comprehensive examination of conclusions and messages by researchers on the topic of informal learning. This study offers analysis, suggestions, and proposals for future studies based on the research.
