마을공동체 기반의 국내외 문화예술교육 사례 연구

최근 마을공동체 기반의 문화예술교육은 학교, 학습자, 교사, 학부모, 지역사회 등이 다양한 형태로 협업하여 문화예술교육의 장을 학교 밖으로 확장하며 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 마을공동체의 다양한 국내외 문화예술교육 관련 사례들을 살펴보았으며, 이를 통해 도출한 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 마을공동체 기반의 문화예술교육은 개인 삶의 질을 향상시킬 뿐만 아니라 마을, 국가의 새로운 문화로 창출할 수 있기에 중요한 의미를 가진다. 둘째, 마을공동체 기반의 문화예술교육 과정을 운영함에 있어 마을주민, 학습자, 교육자 등 다양한 주체들의 연대와 협력이 중요하다. 셋째, 마을공동체 기반의 문화예술교육은 학교와 마을을 연결하는 지역 매개자의 역할이 중요하며, 특히 학생들이 지역사회 프로그램과 연계하여 참여할 수 있는 다양한 창구가 마련되어야 한다. 넷째, 마을공동체 기반의 문화예술교육은 공동체 생활이나 행동, 목적을 같이하는 다양한 거점 공간의 활용이 중요하다. 마지막으로, 지자체에서는 마을공동체가 문화예술교육을 다양하게 운영할 수 있도록 지원체계를 마련해야 한다.

Community-based Cultural arts education has recently attracted attention as school, learner, teacher, parents, and local community collaborate to expand the field of education outside the school. This study examined 5 cases related to various domestic and international cultural arts education for village community, and the implications derived from them are as follows. First, cultural arts education for village community has an important meaning because it not only improves the quality of personal life but can also be created as a new culture of villages and country. In addition, solidarity and cooperation of various subjects such as villagers, learners, and educators are needed in realizing the cultural arts education for village community. Moreover, in village education community, the role of regional mediators connecting schools and villages is important, and in particular, various channels should be provided for students to participate in connection with community programs. Furthermore, in the cultural arts education for village community, it is important to utilize various base spaces that share the life, behavior, and purpose of the community. Finally, local governments need to establish a support system for creating and operating a village education community with culture and arts approach.
