목회적 “도구”로서 코칭의 유용성에 관한 고찰

지금 시대 목회는 그것을 감당하는 목회자에게 다양한 역할을 요구한다. 그러한 다양한 역할 가운데 목회의 가장 중요한 주제는 사람을 돌보는 것이며 사람을 돌보는 것은 기본적으로 목회자에게 나름의 기술과 역량을 필요로 한다. 코칭은 그 목회자의 기술과 역량을 증진 시키는데 좋은 도구로 사용될 수 있다. 따라서 코칭이 목회의 도구로써 어떻게 사용될 수 있을지에 대한 가능성과 유용성을 알아보는 것이 본 논문의 목적이다. 코칭은 목회자로 하여금 사람에 대한 이해의 폭을 넓히도록 하고, 한 개인이 가지고 있는 잠재력을 발견하고 그것을 사용하여 교회 내의 다양한 사역이 열매를 맺도록 한다. 나아가 코칭은 자신의 잠재력을 발견한 개인이 교회 밖 세상에서도 자신의 역량을 확장하여 성도로 사는 삶을 드러내도록 함으로 세상에서 건강한 교회를 세워가는 과정에도 나름의 역할을 할 수 있게 한다. 따라서 코칭은 목회를 목회될 수 있도록 목회자가 역량을 발휘하는 데 의미 있는 도구가 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The ministry of this era demands various roles from the pastor who handles it. Among these various roles, the most important theme of the ministry is caring for people, and caring for people basically requires their own skills and competence. Coaching can be used as a good tool to improve the pastor s skills and competence. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to find out the possibility and usefulness of how coaching can be used as a tool of ministry. Coaching allows pastors to broaden their understanding of people, discover the potential of an individual, and use it to produce fruit for various ministry in the church. Coaching also allows individuals who discover their potential to play their own role in the process of building a healthy church in the world by expanding their capabilities to reveal their lives as saints in the world outside the church. Therefore, it was confirmed that coaching can be a meaningful tool for pastors to demonstrate their capabilities so that pastors ministry can be pastors ministry.
