The effects of parenting attitude on animal cruelty of adolescents: focused on mediating effects of aggression

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of aggression on the relationship between parenting attitudes and animal cruelty of adolescents. For this study investigated 598 adolescents who are in 3th grade of middle school. The results of the study are summarized as follows. Parenting attitudes, animal cruelty of adolescents, and aggression were statistically significant correlations. The mediating effects of aggression were confirmed in relation to parenting attitude and adolescent animal abuse. Therefore, it can be seen that the parenting attitude has an important influence on animal abuse and aggression in adolescence.
