국내 신문기사 및 연구논문을 통해 본 아동학대 동향 연구

A study of child abuse through the newspaper and research papers

본 연구는 1990년 이후 이루어진 국내의 아동학대 신문기사와 관련 연구에 나타난 아동학대 관련 연구동향 및 시각을 살펴보기 위하여 C일보에 나타난 아동학대 관련 기사 184건과 아동학대 주제의 연구논문 585편을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 아동학대에 관한 신문기사는 지속적으로 증가하였으며, 특히 2000년 이후에 많은 양적 상승을 보여주었다. 또한 2000년 이전에는 신체적 학대 기사가 가장 많았으나 이후 성적 학대와 방임에 관한 기사가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 아동학대에 관한 연구논문 역시 2000년 이후에 많은 양적 증가를 보여주었으며, 특히 대책방안과 학대의 영향에 대한 연구가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 학대의 원인에 대한 연구는 더 적게 나타났으며, 이들 연구의 경우 부모를 포함한 가족을 아동학대의 원인으로 다루는 경우가 가장 많았다. 또한 학대의 영향에 관한 연구는 아동의 생활과 행동 부적응, 정서 부적응 등 사회 정서적 문제를 주로 설명하였다.

This study analysed 184 newspaper articles and 585 research papers about child abuse since 1990. Results showed that child abuse mentioned in research and articles uprised constantly. Reports about physical abuse decreased, while articles of sexual abuse and negligence increased since year of 2000. While many researches were about the policy and the negative effects of child abuse, the reason of child abuse was less explored. Whereas family including parents was the main independent variable to explain child abuse, the socio-emotional development of abused children was adopted as dependent one frequently.
