노인요양시설 입소 노인의 좋은 죽음에 대한 인식, 죽음 불안 및 죽음준비도가 연명의료 중단에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향

Influences of the Perception of Good Death, Death Anxiety, and Preparation for Death on the Attitude toward Withdrawal of Life-sustaining Treatment among the Elderly in Elderly Care Facilities

목적: 본 연구는 노인요양시설 입소 노인의 좋은 죽음에 대한 인식, 죽음 불안 및 죽음준비도가 연명의료 중단에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 이후 노인요양시설 입소 노인의 좋은 죽음 프로그램에 기초를 제공하고자 실시되었다. 연구방법: 본 연구의 자료수집 기간은 2020년 10월부터 12월까지였고, J도와 G시에 소재하고 있는 30명 이상의 노인요양시설 입소 노인을 대상으로 실시하였다. 총 136부가 최종 분석에 사용되었고 SPSS Statistics 24.0 version을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 연구결과 연명의료 중단에 대한 태도에 영향요인은 좋은 죽음에 대한 인식, 노인요양시설 입소기간이 61개월 이상인 경우였으며, 모형의 설명력은 18.0%였다. 결론: 연명의료 중단에 대한 긍정적 태도를 가지고 존엄하고 자율적인 죽음을 맞이할 수 있도록 좋은 죽음에 대한 교육이 필요하다. 또한 사전연명의료의향서에 대한 노인요양시설 입소 노인의 지식 정도를 확인하고 연명의료 중단에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 추가 연구를 제언하는 바이다.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of perception of good death, death anxiety, and preparation for death on the attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment among the elderly in elderly care facilities. Methods : The data collection period of this study was from October to December, 2020, and it was conducted for more than 30 elderly in a elderly care facilities located in J and G cities. A total of 136 copies were used for the final analysis and were analyzed using SPSS Statistics 24.0 version. Results : The results of the study showed that influencing factor the attitude toward withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment were the perception of a good death(β=.34, p<.001) and when the period of admission to a elderly care facility was more than 61 months(β=.26, p=.001), and the explanatory power of the model was 18.0%. Conclusion : Education on good death is necessary so that we can face a dignified and autonomous death with a positive attitude toward the withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment.
