여성 마을활동가의 진로적응 경험에 나타난 평생학습 실천 탐색

A Study on the Practical Meaning of Lifelong Learning in the Career Adaptation Experience of Female Community Activists

이 연구의 목적은 여성 마을활동가의 진로적응 경험에 나타나는 평생학습 실천을 탐색하는 데 있다. 연구방법으로는 Mandelbaum(1973)의 생애사 분석관점에 근거하여 ‘삶의 영역’, ‘전환점’, ‘적응’의 영역으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, ‘삶의 영역’에서의 공통주제는 ‘가족적 조건의 삶: 진로에 반영’, ‘사회적 조건의 삶: 공동체 감수성과 주체의식 형성’, ‘실천학습 공동체의 삶: 진로와 교집합 발견’, ‘마을 활동 실천의 삶: 마을 경험들’로 도출되었다. 둘째, ‘전환점’에서의 공통주제는 ‘마을로의 발디딤: 마을공동체 경험’, ‘진로전환: 역할 정체성 인식’, ‘진로도약: 경험학습을 통한 역할수용’으로 도출되었다. 셋째, ‘적응’에서 통합된 적응방식에서의 공통주제는 ‘인적·물적 자원확장: 다양한 생존전략’, ‘진로 소명: 마을활동가 역할 확장하기’, ‘진로 비전: 실천공동체 실현하기’로 도출되었다. 본 연구는 여성 마을활동가의 진로적응 경험을 탐색하는 가운데 이들의 진로·직업적 역할확장에 대한 다양성과 여성들이 마을공동체 활동을 통하여 인적자본을 구축하는 가능성으로 해석되었다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한, 여성 마을활동가들이 마을 변화를 긍정적으로 추동하는 사회적 실천자로서의 성인 학습자에 대한 이해를 제공하였다.

The aim for the study is to explore the career adaptation experiences of ‘female community activists’ in terms of their life-long education. For the research method, based on Mandelbaum(1973)’s concept of life history analysis, there are three categories for analyzing: ‘life dimensions’, ‘turnings’ and ‘adaptation’. As a result of interview, first, in terms of ‘life-long education', the common factor which is impacted on female community activists’ are ‘family environment ties with career', ‘social environment: communication and a sense of independence', ‘Life of a community of practical learning: Discovery of intersection with career path', ‘Life of community activities: community experiences'. Second, the common factor in ‘turnings’ are ‘Footstep to the community: Experience in the community', ‘Career transition: Recognizing role identity'. Third, the common factor in ‘adaptation' are ‘Human and hardware resource expansion: Various survival strategies', ‘Career vocation: Expanding the role of community activists', ‘Career Vision: Realizing a community of practice'. In the study, It found out that there is high possibility of gathering human sources among female community activists. Furthermore, female community activists became the leading subject that they brought understanding of adult learners as social practitioners who positively drive changes in the community.
