A Study on Validity and Reliability of the Korean Version of the Chedoke Arm and Hand Activity Inventory (CAHAI)

한글판 Chedoke Arm and Hand Activity Inventory (CAHAI)의 타당도 및 신뢰도 연구

목적 : 뇌졸중 환자의 일상생활활동과 관련된 양측상지기능을 측정할 수 있는 평가도구인 Chedoke Arm and Hand Activity Inventory (CAHAI)를 한글로 번안하고, 타당도 및 신뢰도를 검증하여 국내 도입을도모하는 것을 연구 목적으로 한다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 2019년 7월부터 9월까지 3개월간 진행되었으며, 뇌졸중 환자 51명과 뇌졸중 관련전문가 17명이 참여하였다. 한글판 CAHAI의 타당도는 내용타당도와 수렴타당도를 통해 검증하고자 하였으며, 신뢰도는 내적일치도와 검사-재검사 신뢰도를 조사하였다. 통계분석 프로그램으로 IBM SPSS Statistics 25를 사용하였다. 결과 : 내용타당도 검증을 위해 17명의 전문가에게 조사한 결과, 한글판 CAHAI 13항목의 평균 I-CVI 값은0.81로 나타났다. 수렴타당도의 경우, Y-BAT과 CMDT의 두 손 뒤집어 놓기 검사와의 상관계수가 각각0.584(p<.01), -0.444(p<.01)로 확인되었다. 내적일치도는 평균 Cronbach’s α 값이 0.847이었으며, 검사재검사 신뢰도의 평균 ICC 값은 0.977이었다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 한글판 CAHAI는 타당도와 신뢰도를 갖춘 양측상지기능 평가도구임을 확인할 수있었다. 양측상지기능의 문제로 일상생활활동 수행에 어려움을 경험하는 뇌졸중 환자들에게 한글판CAHAI를 적용함으로써, 양측상지기능 회복을 통한 일상생활활동 수행의 독립성 증진 목적의 평가도구로 활용 가능할 것이다.

Objective : This study aimed to translate the Chedoke Arm and Hand Activity Inventory (CAHAI), which can measure bilateral upper extremity function into Korean, and to verify its validity and reliability. Methods : This study was conducted over three months, involving 51 stroke patients and 17 stroke-related experts. The Korean version of the CAHAI was verified through content and convergence validity. Reliability was verified through internal consistency and test-retest reliability. For statistical analysis, IBM SPSS Statistics 25 was used. Results : The average Item-level Content Validity Index (I-CVI) value of 13 items of Korean CAHAI was 0.81. For convergence validity, the correlation coefficients between the Yonsei-Bilateral Arm Test (Y-BAT) and turning test of the Complete Minnesota Dexterity Test (CMDT) were 0.584 and –0.444, respectively (p<.01). The average Cronbach’s α value for internal consistency was 0.847, and the average ICC value for test-retest reliability was 0.977. Conclusion : We confirmed that the Korean version of the CAHAI is a appropriate tool for evaluating bilateral upper extremity (U/Ex) function, showing high validity and reliability. Therefore, the Korean version of the CAHAI can be considered useful in the therapeutic approach to recover bilateral U/Ex function in stroke patients.
