지역사회 정신장애인 사례관리 실천 경험에 관한 연구

A Study on the Experience of Case Management for the Mentally Disabled in the Community: Focusing on Infinite Care Project

본 연구의 목적은 경기도 B시 무한돌봄사업 사례관리자들의 지역사회 정신장애인의 사례관리 실천경험의 의미들을 연구하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2020년 12월 민간영역인 종합사회복지관, 지역자활센터 사례관리자와 무한돌봄 통합사례관리 사업을 진행하고 있는 공공영역과 민간영역 사례관리자 16명을 대상으로 초점집단면접(Focus Group Interview)를 실시하였으며, 수집한 자료를 질적 연구방법론을 적용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 총 5개의 주제와 26개의 하위주제 그리고 138개의 의미단위가 도출되었다. 연구참여자들은 지역사회 정신장애인 사례관리 실천경험에 대해 ‘정신장애인과 사례관리자들이 서로 맞춰가는 과정’에서 ‘정신장애인들의 자립을 전방위로 돕는 사회복지사’라는 정체성을 가지고 ‘묵묵히 걸어가는 순례자의 길’이라고 의미를 부여하고 있었다. 한편 실천영역과 사업의 성격에 따라 사례관리 실천과정에서 차이점이 있었다. 끝으로 더 나은 사례관리를 위한 실천적이며 정책적인 방안들이 제안되었다.

This study aimed to investigate the experience of case management for the mentally disabled within the local community of case managers in B city of Gyeonggi-do. To this end, in December 2020, focus group interviews were conducted with 16 case managers carrying out the integrated case management project for infinite care in various sectors. From the results, a total of 5 themes, 26 sub-themes, and 138 semantic units were derived. The participants gave the meaning of “the path of a silently walking pilgrim” with “a social worker who helps mentally disabled people stand on their own feet” in “the process of matching between the mentally disabled and the case managers,” with respect to the practical experience of case management within the local community. Finally, practical and policy measures for better case management were proposed.
