장애학생 대상 사회과 중재 연구에 대한 체계적 문헌분석

A Systematic Review of Social Studies Intervention Research for Students with Disabilities: Using Content Analysis and Quality Indicator Analysis

본 연구는 현재까지 발표된 장애학생 대상 사회과 중재 연구에 대한 체계적 문헌분석으로서, 발간 현황과 내용 분석을 통하여 기존 연구의 일반적 특성을 확인하고, 질적 지표 기반 분석을 통해 연구의 질을 평가함으로써 사회과 증거기반실제의 구축에 대한 시사점과 앞으로의 사회과 중재의 연구방향을 모색하기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 이를 위하여 장애학생 대상 사회과 중재 연구로서 지금까지 발표된 총 16편의 학술등재(후보)지 논문을 분석 대상 논문으로 선정하고 분석을 실시하였다. 먼저 내용분석을 위하여 ‘연구대상’, ‘연구설계, ‘독립변인(중재)’, ‘중재환경’, ‘종속변인(중재결과)’에 따른 범주별분석을 실시하였고, 중재의 효과크기를 산출한 후 각 연구의 특징에 대하여 종합적으로 검토하였다. 이어서 집단실험연구 및단일대상연구에서 적용되는 질적 지표를 활용하여 각 연구의 질을 측정하고, 이러한 측정을 통하여 증거기반중재의 구축을위한 가능성에 대하여 살펴보았다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 내용 분석 결과 연구의 수 자체가 증거기반실제를 구축하는 데에는 다소 미흡하였으나, 다양한 중재 방법이 적용되었으며 중재 효과 또한 전반적으로 큰 것으로 나타났다. 한편 질적 지표 분석 결과에 따르면, 지표별 차이는 다소 있었으나 다수의 연구는 질적 지표를 높은 수준으로 충족하고 있었다. 마지막으로 이러한 분석 결과가 주는 함의와 함께, 연구의 제한점 및 앞으로의 장애학생 대상 사회과 중재 연구에 주는 시사점에대하여 논의하였다.

This study is a systematic review on social studies intervention research for students with disabilities with an investigation on the general characteristics of the studies based on publication status and content analysis, and evaluating the quality of research using CEC qualitative indicators. This study was conducted for the purpose of finding implications for current research trend and future research directions for social studies interventions. For this purpose, a total of 16 peer-reviewed papers published as a social studies intervention study for students with disabilities were selected. First, a content analysis was conducted based on ‘research subject’, ‘research design’, ‘independent variable (intervention)’, ‘intervention environment’, and ‘dependent variable (intervention result)’, and the effect size of the intervention was calculated. Next, the quality of each study was measured, using the quality indicators applied to group experimental studies and single-subject studies, and the possibility for the evidence-based interventions was examined in the process. The analysis results are as follows. Firstly, as a result of the content analysis, the overall effect size of the intervention was found to be huge, but the number of studies was insufficient to establish evidence-based interventions. On the other hand, the quality indicator analysis results showed that many studies met the qualitative indicators at a high level. Lastly, the limitations of the study and implications for future social studies intervention studies were discussed.
