Policy Suggestions for Resolving Inequality and Income Gaps in Korean Society

본 연구는 소득과 자산에 기반한 불평등과 소득 및 계층이동성 지표를 통해 한국 사회의 불평등을 새롭게 조망하고, 불평등 원인과 정책지향 및 정책대상에 대한 새로운 방향성을 제시하였다. 이를 통해 우리 사회 불평등의 근간에는 격차확대에 따른 갈등과 불안이 자리하고 있으며, 소득중단이나 미래불안정성을 완화하는 대응방식이 필요함을 강조하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 이러한 인식에 기반하여 격차와 불안을 완화하는 데 초점을 둔 단기 및 중장기적 제도개선 방안을 제안하였다.

This study provides a new perspective on inequality in Korean society through the indicators of income and class mobility, and suggests a new policy direction. Through this, it emphasizes that conflict and anxiety due to the widening of the gap lie at the root of inequality in our society, and that there is a need that reduces income disruption or future instability. Finally, based on this perception, this study proposes short-term and mid-to-long-term institutional improvement plans focused on alleviating gaps and anxiety.
