The purpose of this study is to provide individual counseling by applying Food Art Therapy for a middle-aged woman who has experienced low self-esteem and anxiety about the future after divorce, and to conduct a qualitative case analysis to examine FAT effectiveness. The intervention method was semi-structured counseling, and focused on cognitive restructuring according to the characteristics of the target by conducting 6 sessions of counseling and 1 follow-up counseling that combine counseling and psychological education. As the session progressed, the subjects brought about many changes through self-reflection and healing, focusing on the present rather than the past. This proves that the life-centered ideology of Food Art Therapy and the role of a facilitator for clients to rediscover their original vitality and resources can bring meaningful changes to post-divorce adjustment through 6 sessions of short-term counseling.
