한국 재림교회의 공공신학 이해와 실천

Understanding and Practice of Public Theology of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Korea

본 연구는 후기 세속사회에 종교의 소환과 더불어 기독교 안에서 논의되고 있는 공공신학에 대한 재림교회의 신학적 이해를 다루는 것을 목적으로 한다. 따라서 재림교회의 신학적 교리들 가운데 교단적 독특성과 정체성을 가장 잘 드러내는 안식일과 재림 교리를 중심으로 그 속에서 사회적 책임윤리의 정신이 포함되어 있음을 확인했다. 안식일 신학은 진정한 해방의 표징으로서 문화나 시간, 또는 환경과 관계없이 모든 창조물에 제공하는 평등성을 강조한다. 재림교회는 공동체 안에서뿐만 아니라 밖에 있는 모든 사람의 정의와 평등, 자유에 관한 생각을 가장 먼저 발전시킬 수 있어야 한다고 믿는다. 또한, 재림교회는 그리스도의 성육신 이전에는 과거가 미래와 현재를 결정했으나, 그 이후에는 미래가 현재에 영향을 끼치게 되었다고 이해하기 때문에, 재림의 교리는 현재의 삶에서 정의와 평등, 평화에 대한 추가적인 동기를 제공한다고 믿는다. 이러한 상황에서 재림교회는 다양한 공적 영역에서 그 역할을 실천하는 과정에서 더욱 품위 있는 방식으로서의 참여를 위한 연구가 필요하다. 또한, 재림교회는 통전적 선교의 개념을 이해하고 이것을 오늘날의 시대적 상황에서 더욱 확장할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to deal with the theological understanding of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (SDA) on public theology, which is being discussed in Christianity. Therefore, this study confirmed that among the theological doctrines of SDA, the philosophy of social responsibility ethics was included, centering on the Sabbath and Adventism that best reveal the denomination's uniqueness and identity. Sabbath theology emphasizes the equality provided to all creations regardless of culture, time, or environment as a sign of true liberation. SDA believes that it should be the first to be able to develop thoughts on justice, equality, and freedom not only within the community but also outside. In addition, SDA believes that the doctrine of Jesus' second coming provides additional motivation for justice, equality, and peace in the present life because the past determined the future and the present before Christ's Incarnation, but then the future affected the present. When SDA practices its role in various public areas, research is needed for participation in a more elegant way. In addition, it needs to understand the concept of wholistic mission and expand it further in today's situation.
