자폐스펙트럼장애 아동과 모(母)의 상호작용 미술치료 사례연구

An Art therapy Case Study on the Interaction Between Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Their Mothers

본 연구는 사회적 의사소통 및 상호작용 결함을 보이는 자폐스펙트럼장애(Autism Spectrum Disorder: ASD) 아동을 대상으로 미술치료를 실시하여 모(母)와의 상호작용에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것에 목적이 있다. 연구 대상 아동 A는, 3세 이전에 자폐성 장애 2급을 진단받은 만 8세 남아로, 2020년 8월부터 10월까지 주 1〜2회 50분씩 총 15회기에 걸쳐 모-자(母-子) 상호작용 미술 치료프로그램을 실시하였다. 측정 도구로는 회기별 상호작용 측정을 위해 Marschak 행동평정척도(Marschak Behavior Rating Scale: MBRS)를 사용하였으며 사전, 사후검사로 MIM 평정척도를 실시하였다. 이와 같은 방법으로 분석한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미술치료는 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동과 모(母)의 상호작용에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. MIM 평정척도의 하위영역인 구조, 도전, 개입, 양육 영역에서 전반적인 상호작용이 향상되는 변화를 보였다. 둘째, 회기별 과정에서 미술치료를 통해 자폐스펙트럼장애 아동과 모(母)의 상호작용에 긍정적인 변화가 일어났음을 알 수 있다. Marschak 행동평정척도의 결과, 모(母)는 회기가 거듭될수록 비교적 안정적으로 향상된 상호작용을 보였다. A는 매체에 따른 기복이 있었으나 모(母)의 균형적인 통제에 영향을 받아 함께 상승한 것을 확인할 수 있다. 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of interaction with mothers by performing art therapy for children with autism spectrum disorders who have exhibited difficulties with social communication and interaction. The subject A, is an 8-year-old boy who was officially diagnosed with a second-degree autistic disorder before age 3., The program consisted of 15 sessions that were 50 minutes each. A underwent one or two sessions per week from August 2020 to October 2020. The Marschak Interaction Method Rating Scale (MIM-RS) was used as the pre- and post-test to analyze the data, and the Marschak Behavior Rating Scale (MBRS) was employed for measuring the degree of the interaction in each session. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, art therapy was found to positively affect the interaction between children with autism spectrum disorder and their mothers. The overall interaction was improved in the sub- region of the MIM RS. Second, positive changes occurred in the mother-child interactions through art therapy in the process of each session. As a result of MBRS, the mother showed relatively stable interactions with the child over the course of the session. A had ups and downs depending on the art media, but overall, A’s interactions improved under the balanced control of his mother. Based on these findings , the significance and limitations of this study were then discussed.
