기독교인 COVID-19 환자의 치유과정에서의 심리적 갈등경험 연구

A Study on Experience in Psychological Conflict in Healing Process of Christian COVID-19 Patients

본 연구의 목적은 기독교인 COVID-19 환자의 치유와 회복의 과정에서 기독교 신앙인 개인과 가족, 신앙공동체, 사회, 하나님과의 체계 안에서 경험하는 심리적 갈등을 그대로 드러내어, ‘심리적 갈등경험의 본질’의 구조와 의미를 심층적으로 이해하는 데 있다. 자료수집과 분석은 2020년 05월부터 2021년 01월까지 9개월 동안 수행되었으며, Giorgi의 현상학적 방법으로 연구참여자 5명을 분석하였다. 기독교인 COVID-19 환자의 치유과정에서의 심리적 갈등경험의 분석 결과는 ‘죽음과의 조우, ‘소각장 앞에서’, ‘COVID-19 병원균’, ‘되짚어보니 내 잘못’, ‘정말 누가 이웃인가’, ‘신앙의 태도 변화’의 6개 범주였다. 기독교인 COVID-19 환자의 심리적 갈등경험의 본질은 ‘삶의 터전과 소중한 관계의 상실, 자기감의 상실, 신체적인 트라우마로 인한 건강의 상실, 삶의 현장에서 자기 능력의 상실, 정체감의 상실, 하나님 이미지 상실’의 체계적 상실경험이었다. 기독교인 COVID-19 환자의 심리-체계적 구조 안에서 역동하는 ‘수치감과 죄책감’으로 소외와 분노의 복합감정을 불러일으켰다. 아울러 기독상담적 관점에서 기독교인 COVID-19 환자의 심리적 갈등경험의 본질을 체계적으로 논의하고, 사회적 복귀와 회복을 돕고자 했다.

This study is intended to reveal the psychological conflicts Christian COVID-19 patients have experienced across individual, family, faith community, society and the God in the healing process, thereby improving our understanding of psychological conflicts and their true meaning. Information was collected and analyzed from May 2020 to January 2021. We used the descriptive phenomenological approach advocated by Giorgi to perform analysis on five participants. Those psychological conflicts were categorized into 6 groups, “Encounter with Death”, “Facing Incinerator”, “Pathogen”, “My Fault”, “Who Is My Neighbor” and “Change in Faith.” Their psychological conflicts are essentially based on loss of home, precious relationship, self-esteem, health, self-efficacy, identity, and the God. The dynamic “shame and guilt” evoked mixed emotions of alienation and anger in them. From a Christian perspective, we attempted to have mutual discussion on the nature of psychological conflicts suffered by Christian COVID-19 patients, and to help their social rehabilitation and recovery.
