미국 학교현장실습에 참여하는 한국 예비교사를 위한 웹사이트 구성요소 탐색

Exploring Web Site Components for Korean Pre-service Teachers Participating in American School Field Training

본 연구는 미국의 공립학교에서 실시하는 학교현장실습에 참여하는 한국의 교육대학교와 사범대학의 학생들을 지원하기 위한 웹사이트의 구성요소를 탐색할 목적으로 수행하였다. 미국에서는 대학교들끼리 컨소시엄(COST)을 구성하거나 대학교가 단독으로 외국으로 학교현장실습을 보내왔으며, 그 모든 과정(모집, 연수, 현장정보제공, 귀국 후 등)을 온라인으로 지원하는 웹사이트를 운영하고 있다. 그래서 가장 종합적인 정보를 제공하는 COST에서 운영하는 사이트의 내용을 분석하였으며, 이를 우리나라의 실정에 적합하게 수정하고 보완하기 위하여 국내에서 온라인으로 미국학교현장실습을 실시하는 두 군데 대학교의 실습구성요소를 반영하였다. 본 연구의 결과로, COST의 웹사이트를 구성하는 주요 분야(홈, 출국 전과 후, 현지에서 할 일, 귀국 후 등)를 기반으로 하여, 제거할 내용과 보완할 요소를 제시하였다. 마지막 부분에는 결론과 함께 한국 예비 교사들의 비대면 미국학교현장실습을 위한 온라인 지원 웹사이트의 품질을 더욱 향상시키기 위하여 제언을 남겼다.

This study was conducted with the objective of exploring the components of a website to support students of Korean universities pursuing teaching certificates and participating in school field experience conducted at public schools in the United States. In the United States, for many years pre-service teachers have visited foreign schools for their teaching practicum, what is called overseas student teaching. They were sent by a consortium like COST or a university itsel like IU. Both institues run websites that support all the courses (recruitment, training, on-site information, after returning home, etc.). Therefore, the contents of the site operated by COST, which provides the most comprehensive information, were analyzed, and in order to modify and supplement it suitable for the situation in Korea. Cases of two universities conducting overseas student teaching via online in Korea were reflected. As a result of this study, based on the major areas that make up the COST website (home, before and after departure, what to do locally, after returning home, etc.), some contents presented were removed and some factors were supplemented. In the last part, along with the conclusion, suggestions were made to further improve the quality of the online support website for on-line student teaching implemented in the U.S. for Korean prospective teachers.
