초·중학교 교사들의 교육과정 연계전략에 대한 질적 사례연구

A Qualitative Case Study on Curriculum Linkage Strategies of Elementary and Middle School Teachers

이 연구의 목적은 질적 사례연구를 통하여 초․중학교 전환학년 학생들의 교과학습과 학업적응을 지원하고 보장하고자 하는 초등학교와 중학교 교사들의 교육과정 연계전략을 탐색하는 데 있다. 이 연구는 자료 수집과 자료 분석을 오가는 지속적 비교분석을 통해 최종적으로 11개의 하위범주와 2개의 핵심범주(①기초문해력 신장을 위한 초․중 교육과정 연계전략, ②전환기 학생들의 학업적응을 지원하는 초․중 교육과정 연계전략)를 생성하였다. 그리고 이러한 연구결과에 기초하여 초등학교와 중학교 연계 교육과정의 개발과 실행을 촉진하기 위한 몇 가지 아이디어를 단위학교 및 학교군, 시도교육청, 국가 차원에서 제시하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 초․중 전환학년 학생들의 기초학력 및 기본학력을 보장하고, 학업적응을 지원하는 연계 교육과정의 연계전략을 해명함으로써 초등학교와 중학교 교육과정의 교육적 일관성과 지속성을 강화하는 데 기여할 것이다.

The aim of this paper is to explore the curriculum linkage strategies of elementary and middle school teachers who want to support and ensure the subject learning and academic adaptation of elementary and middle school transition grade students through a qualitative case study. Through constant comparison that goes back and forth between data collection and data analysis, this study finally consists of 11 sub-categories and 2 core categories(①strategies for connecting elementary and middle school curriculum to increase basic literacy, ②curriculum linkage strategies to support academic adjustment of students in transition period) was created. And based on research results, some ideas were presented at the unit school and school clustering, provincial offices of education, and at the national level to promote the development and implementation of a curriculum linked to elementary and middle schools. The results of this study will contribute to strengthening the educational consistency and continuity of the elementary and middle school curriculum by elucidating the curriculum linkage strategies of elementary and middle school teachers.
