어머니의 코칭역량과 양육효능감이 유아의 공감능력에 미치는 영향

The Impact of the Mother’s Coaching Competency and Parenting Efficacy on Children’s Empathy: The Mediated Effect of Children’s Self-regulation

본 연구에서는 전국의 만 3세∼5세 유아를 둔 어머니 569명을 대상으로 어머니의 코칭역량과 양육효능감이 유아의 자기조절력의 매개역할을 통해서 유아의 공감능력에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 자료분석은 SPSS 26.0을 사용하여 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석, Baron과 Kenny의 회귀분석, Sobel test를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 어머니의 코칭역량, 양육효능감, 유아의 자기조절력 및 공감능력의 모두 평균이 중간 이상의 높은 수준을 보였다. 둘째, 어머니의 코칭역량과 양육효능감이 유아의 공감능력에 미치는 영향에서 어머니의 코칭역량과 양육효능감은 유아의 공감능력에 직접적인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니의 코칭역량과 양육효능감이 유아의 공감능력에 미치는 영향에서 유아의 자기조절력을 매개로 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 결과 되었다. 이상에서 살펴 본 바와 같이 어머니의 코칭역량, 양육효능감은 유아의 공감능력을 높이는데 중요한 역할을 하며 특히 유아의 자기조절력이 매개되었을 때, 유아 공감능력의 향상됨이 검증되었다. 이에 어머니의 코칭역량과 양육효능감을 효과적으로 발휘할 수 있도록 다양한 부모교육프로그램이 가정에 제공되어 유아의 공감능력을 키워나갈 수 있는 다각적 접근의 필요성이 제기된다.

In this study, 569 mothers with children aged 3 to 5 nationwide were impacted for the effect of mother's coaching competency and parenting efficacy on children's empathy through the mediating role of children self-regulation. For data analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, regression analysis of Baron and Kenny, and the Sobel test were performed using SPSS 26.0. The results of this study, first, the mother's coaching competency, parenting efficacy, children's self-regulation, and empathy all showed a high level above the middle. Second, it was found that the mother's coaching competency and parenting efficacy had a direct effect on the children's empathy in the mother's coaching competency and parenting efficacy had a direct effect on the children's empathy. Third, it was found that the mother's coaching competency and parenting effect had an indirect effect through the children's self-regulation in the effect of the mother's coaching competency and parenting efficacy on the children's empathy. As discussed above, the mother's coaching competency and parenting efficacy play an important role in enhancing the children's empathy, and it was verified that the children's empathy improved, especially when the children's self-regulation was mediated.
