고등학교 1, 2학년 학생의 학업적 자아개념, 교과 이해도 및 학업성취도의 관계와 종단적 영향

Relationships and Longitudinal Effects of Academic Self-Concept, Subject Understanding, and Academic Achievement of First and Second rade of High School Students: Focused on Korean, English, and Mathematics Subjects

본 연구는 고등학교 1, 2학년 학생의 학업적 자아개념, 교과 이해도 및 학업성취도의 관계와 변인 간 종단적 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 한국교육개발원의 한국교육종단 2013 패널자료 중에서 6차년도(고1)와 7차년도(고2)의 자료를 사용하였으며 남학생은 3,623명, 여학생은 3,701명 전체 7,324명이다. 본 연구에서 고등학교 1학년 교과 이해도는 학업성취도에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 고등학교 2학년 교과 이해도와 학업적 자아개념은 학업성취도에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 교과별 종단적 영향을 살펴본 결과 고등학교 1학년 국어, 수학, 영어교과의 이해도, 학업적 자아개념, 성취도는 고등학교 2학년 교과 이해도, 학업적 자아개념, 국어교과 성취도를 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 국어, 영어, 수학교과에서 고등학교 1, 2학년 학생의 학업적 자아개념, 교과 이해도 및 학업성취도의 관계와 종단적 영향을 살펴봄으로써 학생들의 학업관련 변인과 학업성취도의 종단적 관계를 구체적으로 살펴보았다는 데 의의가 있다고 본다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the academic self-concept, subject understanding, and academic achievement of first and second year high school students, and the longitudinal effect between variables. The subjects of this study were data from the first grade and second grad of high school among the 2013 panel data of 7,324 students from Korea Educational Development Institute. The results of the study are as follows. The relationships between academic self-concept, subject understanding, and academic achievement were high in Korean, English, and mathematics. As a result of examining the longitudinal effects by subject, understanding, academic self-concept, and achievement in Korean, mathematics, and English in the first year of high school increased subject understanding, academic self-concept, and achievement in Korean in the second year of high school. This study examines the longitudinal relationship between students' academic-related variables and academic achievement by examining the relationships and longitudinal effects of academic self-concept, subject understanding, and academic achievement of first and second-year high school students in the departments of Korean, English, and mathematics.
