청동기로 본 중국 동북지역과 기북지역의 교류양상

Culture Interchange between Northeast Area of China and Northern Hebei in the Aspect of Bronzeware

본고는 중국 동북지역과 기북지역의 고고문화 사이에서 형성된 청동기의 교류양상을 밝히는 데 그 목적이 있다. 특히, 비파형동검문화의 교류를 이해하기 위해 하가점상층문화 시기부터 비파형동검문화 시기까지 양 지역의 교류양상을 검토하였다. 검토 결과, 중국 동북지역의 비파형동검문화와 기북지역의 고고문화 사이에는 끊임없이 교류가 이루어졌고, 그 형태는 물건 혹은 개념(모방 또는 현지 제작 등)의 교류와 사람의 이주 등 다양한 형태로 확인된다. 이주와 물자의 반복적인 교류는 양 지역 간의 연결망을 형성하였고, 이 연결망을 통해 교류의 양상을 파악할 수 있다. 교류양상은 청동기로 제작된 동물형상과 무기 등에서 잘 드러난다. 동물형상은 각 문화권에서 전통적으로 사용되는 형태가 존재하기 때문에, 이를 바탕으로 관념의 이동과 수용을 파악할 수 있다. 기종은 보편적인 용도가 반영되므로, 기종의 교류를 통해 도구의 용도와 개념의 이동 및 수용을 파악할 수 있다. 그 과정에서 확인되는 특별한 유물의 이동이나, 유물의 모방 등을 통해서도 사람의 이주 혹은 개념의 수용 등을 상정할 수 있다. 이를 패턴화할 수 있고, 각 교류의 패턴을 통해 이주와 기술 교류, 물자의 이동에 대한 기준을 제시하였다. 청동기시대에는 하가점상층문화의 확산에 의해 기북지역과 동북지역의 교류가 발생하였고, 비파형동검문화 등장 이후부터는 십이대영자유형 등이 기북지역과의 교류를 담당하면서 기북지역과 동북지역의 교류가 지속된다. 그 과정에서 상대 영역으로의 이주가 발생하였고, 이러한 이주는 상호 간의 신뢰가 전제되어야 한다. 나아가 이러한 정황을 통해 양 지역 집단의 신뢰 관계를 파악할 수 있다.

This paper examines the mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture and the Bronze Age network of China’s Northeast Region and the Northern Hebei area. To understand the nature of exchange of the mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture, it is necessary to look at previous periods to grasp how exchange began. To this end, the correspondence between the two regions, spanning from the Upper Xiajiadian Culture period to the mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture was examined. It was revealed that the mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture of China’s northeastern region had constantly interacted with that of Northern Hebei. The interaction took on different forms, including the exchange of objects and concepts (such as imitation or local production) and the migration of people. Migration and repeated exchanges of supplies acted to form a network between the two regions; this network can be described as the mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture network. Networks in both regions redefined relationships through Bronze Age animal shapes, animal patterns, and types. Since animal shapes and patterns were traditionally used in each respective culture, their movement can be understood as the movement and reception of perceptions and concepts. Since types reflect their use, the use and concept of a tool can be understood as representing movement and reception through the type’s network. Exchange with the Northern Hebei area through migration existed even before the formation of the mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture due to the spread of the Upper Xiajiadian Culture. Following the emergence of the mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture, this culture, which includes the Shiertaiyingzi type, took over exchange with Northern Hebei. Migration and repeated exchanges of supplies formed a network between the two regions, and this network can be described as the mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture network. This suggests that there was a mutual organic and friendly relationship between the mandolin-shaped Bronze Dagger Culture and groups in Northern Hebei.
