초심상담자의 심리검사 수퍼비전 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

A Narrative Inquiry of the Psychological Test Supervision Experience of Novice Counselors

본 연구는 초심상담자의 심리검사 수퍼비전 경험과 그 의미에 대해 알아보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 2급 상담심리사 자격을 취득한 후 상담경력이 3년 이하인 초심상담자들을 대상으로 내러티브 연구방법을 사용하였으며 분석 결과는 심리검사 이전, 과정, 변화 경험으로 나뉜다. 이전 경험은 ‘방황하는 발걸음, 도움의 필요성’이며 과정 경험은 ‘내가 놓친 부분들, 초점을 맞춘 후 선명해지는 내담자 이해, 내담자 내면을 들여다보는 이론의 중요성, 통합적 해석과 상담적 적용에 대한 해갈, 최상의 경험’, 변화 경험은 ‘버티고 담아주기, 전문적 성장을 위한 다짐’이다. 그리고 심리검사 경험의 의미로 ‘나를 만나다’, ‘버티고 담아내는 힘을 얻다’가 도출되었다. 초심상담자들에게 심리검사 수퍼비전은 인간으로서 성숙해가는 자신을 만나는 과정이며, 내담자들을 버티고 담아내는 상담자가 되기 위한 성장과 변화를 의미한다. 본 연구의 초심상담자들은 심리검사 수퍼비전 경험을 통해 깊이 있는 사례 이해를 위한 심리검사의 통합적 해석과 이를 상담에 적용할 수 있는 역량을 키우게 되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구 결과를 토대로 상담자 발달 단계와 교육 요구에 따른 심리검사 교육 방향에 대한 논의를 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the experience of psychological test supervision and its meaning in novice counselor. The narrative inquiry method was administered for novice counselors whose counseling career after acquiring a second-level counseling psychologist qualification is less than three years and the analysis results were divided into Pre-psychological test, Process, and Change Experiences. The Pre-psychological test Experience included ‘wandering steps and need for help’; the Process Experience included ‘parts I missed, understanding of client that becomes clear after focusing on them, importance of theory examining inside client, relief of thirst for integrative interpretation and counseling application, and best experience’; and the Change Experience included ‘To hold and contain’ and ‘To promise for professional growth’. In addition, the meaning Psychological test Experience was revealed as ‘To meet oneself’ and ‘To obtain power for holding and containing’. The psychological test supervision is, for novice counselors, a process of meeting oneself becoming a mature human, and means growth and change to become a counselor who endures and embraces clients. They, through the experience of psychological test supervision, have developed their abilities to interpret the psychological examination in an integrative way for in-depth understanding of cases and to apply them to counseling. Finally, based on the results of this study, a discussion on the stage of counselor development and the direction of psychological test education according to the educational needs was presented.
